Comments now require a CAPTCHA to be completed

I’ve been getting around 200 spam comments a day on this site and had to manually sort through them to find the non spam comments. This morning I was finally fed up with comment spam on this site and decided to do something about it.

I’ve now implemented reCAPTCHAs for all comments. This means if you want to add a comment to a post, you’ll need to type in the text you see in the box. reCAPTCHAs are especially beneficial as it helps to digitize books where the OCR is failing (about 160 books per day are converted using reCAPTCHAs).

I’m not expecting any problems with it, but just in case you do, my email address is listed in the About me page to the right hand side.
